Peace in Lines and Dots

This piece holds a lot of significance for me. I drew it during a very hard time when I was going through a lot of emotional heartbreak and mental anguish. There would be times when it was just too much to stand and the pain was so great that I wanted to die from it. I needed an escape, a distraction. So I took a blank piece of paper and started drawing lines and dots. No thinking, no planning, no models or measurements or study. Just lines and dots. And it helped me cope. It took me a few months to finish, just working on it a bit at a time when I needed some peace. I'm better now, praise the Lord, but I'll always remember what it felt like, amid all the horrible gut-renching pain, to find peace in lines and dots.
