Have you ever been punished for something that wasn't your fault? Have you ever been accused of something someone else did? Have you ever borne the blame for someone else's mistakes? Were you ever persecuted simply because someone could, because they liked hurting people, because they thought those in power had a right to do whatever they wanted? We have all suffered injustices, sometimes willingly in order to help someone else, sometimes unwillingly because those who were to blame got their way. Let this picture be a reminder of both. Let it inspire us to thank those who suffered willingly for someone else sake, and let it burn a fire in us to bring to justice evil ones who punish the innocent for their own misdeeds.
